The Army Contracting Command has made awards to several companies in support of an acquisition effort to assess promising commercial items for use as a General Purpose Decontaminant for Hardened Military Equipment (GPD-HME).
The products will be tested against specific evaluation criteria with the ultimate intent to procure and field an item that will provide a thorough decontamination capability for equipment exposed to chemical or biological agents. Such equipment includes tactical vehicles, shipboard surfaces, crew-served weapons and individual weapons. Awards were made to the following companies:

The awards are being managed by Natick Contracting Division, on behalf of the Joint Program Manager for Protection (JPM P) and the Decontamination Family of Systems (DFoS) Program.
