Summary

Naval Health Research Center (NHRC) is a major research, development, test and evaluation laboratory for the United States Navy and Department of Defense. The overarching mission of NHRC is to improve the health and performance of military personnel both at home and abroad. Current focus areas include improving diagnostic capabilities for the identification of atypical pneumonia agents and adenovirus serotypes; post-vaccination epidemiological studies; adenovirus vaccine clinical trials; and traumatic brain injury research.

NHRC is organized into 6 departments: Respiratory Diseases Research; Deployment Health Research; HIV/AIDS Programs; Medical Modeling, Simulation & Mission Support; Warfighter Performance; and Behavioral Sciences and Epidemiology.
