SUMMARY:GHSA Supplemental Funding Opportunity Application Deadline - Ebola\, Cholera Outbreak Response
DESCRIPTION:CDC’s Emergency Response and Recovery Branch may have funds available to support emergency activities in response to the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo\, the Rohingya refugee crisis in Bangladesh\, and/or global cholera outbreak response. \nIn response to the recent Ebola outbreak in West Africa\, Emergency Response and Recovery Branch (ERRB) has coordinated the establishment of CDC’s Global Rapid Response Team (GRRT). This funding opportunity supports the implementation of programs and activities targeted at increasing the rapid response capacity of CDC’s partners to support populations affected by disease outbreaks\, complex humanitarian emergencies\, armed conflict and other disasters. Its purpose is to decrease the time needed to respond to critical public health emergencies through the provision of logistical mechanisms required for the rapid public health response to humanitarian emergencies and disease outbreaks throughout the world. This effort will expand CDC’s ability to respond quickly and effectively in the event of public health emergencies worldwide. \nAfter a partner organization is initially selected for funding for a specific strategy and activity\, that partner organization may be requested to provide an application for additional strategies and activities through supplemental funding requests and/or a continuation application at the time when CDC solicits the partner organizations for a request for application for emergency funding. Requests to expand strategies and activities are not limited to particular focus areas or countries where the organization was initially selected for funding. It remains at the partner organizations’ discretion to submit an application in response to these supplemental requests or request for applications. \nRead more: Emergency Response and Recovery Supplemental Funding for GHSA Support
