DESCRIPTION:Editor’s Note: The DTRA Chem-Bio Defense team announced on October 1\, 2014 that this meeting is postponed\, with a new projected time-frame of May 2015. \nThe 2014 CBD S&T Conference for Chemical and Biological Defense Science and Technology will take place November 17-21\, 2014 in St. Louis\, Missouri. \nHosted by the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA)\, the event offers a unique opportunity to exchange ideas\, interact with elite researchers\, and engage with federal agencies involved in Chemical and Biological Defense. The theme of this year’s conference is “Finding Tomorrow’s Solutions in Today’s Environment”. \nThrough keynote\, oral\, and poster presentations\, the conference will address key areas including: \n\nNovel Threat and Disruptive Chemical and Biological Discovery\nDynamic Functional Materials\nApplied Mathematics and Innovative Computational Tools\nFlexible Design\, Synthesis and Manufacturing; and\nSystems Biology and Engineering\nDisease Surveillance\, Characterization and Point of Need Diagnostics\nAdaptive Medical Therapeutics and Technologies\nRapid Response and Recovery Science and Technology\nThreat Activity Sensing and Reporting\nAdvances in Chem Bio Defense Technologies\nIndustry Views on Technology Challenges and Needs\n\nAttendees will have the opportunity to interact and collaborate with other researchers concerning the medical and physical sciences related to chemical and biological defense.
