SUMMARY:ASTMH 2021 Annual Meeting
DESCRIPTION:The American Society for Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (ASTMH) will gather virtually from 17-21 November for the Annual Meeting of leaders and scientific experts invested in tropical medicine and global health. \nThe virtual gathering will feature a wide range of COVID-19 related work\, including reports on the potential protective effects of malaria\, new vaccine innovations and how pandemic safeguards have turned fevers into a dangerous stigma. Researchers also will present new findings on elimination efforts for a number of diseases\, such as leprosy and river blindness; probe whether a smartphone app can reveal a link between pandemic outdoor time and risks of tick-borne disease; and discuss potentially promising news on tamping down resurgent malaria\, including vaccine advances and progress against insecticide resistance. \nPlease visit the ASTMH 2021 Annual Meeting website for more information.
