CDC Award to Roche for Dengue Detection

Dengue DiagnosticsThe Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recently announced intentions to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to Roche Diagnostics for the purchase of the MagNA Pure LC 2.0 instrument, which is the automated virus RNA extraction platform approved by the US Federal Drug Administration (FDA) to run the CDC DENV-1-4 Real Time RT-PCR Assay.

“This is the only molecular diagnostic assay run in the laboratory for the detection of dengue virus,” states the announcement.
