The U.S. Department of Defense’s Joint Project Manager for Medical Countermeasure Systems (JPM-MCS) will host an Industry Day on 2 Nov. 2015 in Fairfield, NJ.
JPM-MCS is a DoD program within the Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical and Biological Defense. JPM-MCS provides U.S. military forces and the nation with innovative medical solutions to counter chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) threats.
JPM-MCS focuses on solutions in the following areas:
- Detection: Systems and devices to identify CBRN agents and assist in making medical decisions
- Prevention: Prophylaxis, pretreatment, and post-exposure prophylaxis
- Treatment: Therapeutics (post-exposure, post-symptomatic)
- Chemical: Medical protection against use of chemical agents
JPM-MCS provided information during a first industry day informing potential offerors of expected research and development tasks under an “Other Transaction Agreement” (OTA) to be awarded for advanced development efforts supporting DoD medical pharmaceutical and diagnostic requirements.
This second industry day aims to provide information on the objectives and requirements of the consortium OTA, and provide any updates based on the information received from attendees at the industry day held in conjunction with BIO 2015 in Philadelphia on 15 June.
At this second industry day, JPM-MCS will request Letters of Intent from those who might form a consortium to determine if and how to move forward.
Advance registration is required.
