The U.S. Army 1st Area Medical Laboratory (1st AML) recently tested a new team configuration concept during a field training exercise at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.
The 1st AML is designed as a deployable analytical laboratory with a diagnostic capability to detect and identify environmental, occupational, endemic and chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear or high-yield explosive threats (CBRNE) in support of force protection and weapons of mass destruction missions.
