BARDA Multi-BAA Pre-Proposal Conference for CBRN, Influenza Countermeasures

by Global Biodefense Staff
June 25, 2012

The Biological Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA) has confirmed a July 16, 2012 Pre-Proposal Conference in Washington D.C. to bring together those interested in submitting proposals for any of three new Broad Agency Announcements (BAAs) related to CBRN and medical countermeasures.

The specific BAAs being addressed are:

BARDA-CBRN-BAA-12-100-SOL-00011 “Advanced Research and Development of Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Medical Countermeasures”

BARDA-SST-BAA-12-100-SOL-00013 “Science and Technology Platforms Applied to Medical Countermeasure (MCM) Development”

BARDA-FLU-BAA-12-100-00018 “Advanced Development of Medical Countermeasures for Pandemic Influenza”

The conference will provide a short presentation of the requirements for each BAA followed by scheduled individual meetings between attendees and a Project Officer for an Area of Interest.

Contracts staff and a representative from the Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) will also be present to answer any questions about the BAA process. In addition, the conference will provide a unique opportunity to interact with others in the field for possible teaming efforts.

Advanced registration is required no later than 3:00PM EDT on July 12, 2012. On-line registration is available here. Due to space limitations, the number of allowable participants is two persons per company.  A dial-in option is available.
