COTS CBRNE Equipment

The Department of Defense is soliciting sources to provide for the rapid acquisition and support of Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and High-Yield Explosives response equipment, and other material that directly detects, identifies, monitors, protects and trains individuals from the effects of CBRNE.

The contractor will support Edgewood Chemical Biological Center (ECBC) Engineering Directorate’s Advanced Design and Manufacturing’s (ADM) division. ADM’s mission dictates acquisition of COTS CBRNE response equipment in the following commodity areas:

  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Chemical Warfare Agents
  • Biological Warfare Agents
  • Radiological
  • Nuclear
  • Toxic Industrial Chemicals (TICs)
  • Toxic Industrial Materials (TIMs)
  • Emerging Threats
  • Decontamination
  • CBRNE Mitigation
  • Force Protection

The contractor shall also provide post procurement ancillary support for equipment such as installation and training. The Government will dictate the need for such activities for each COTS procurement action.
