The Naval Medical Research Center (NMRC) is seeking proposals from organizations capable of providing requisite research and development support to the NMRC Viral and Rickettsial Diseases Department (VRDD).
The VRDD has a need to facilitate innovative research for the protection and treatment of the military members from infectious diseases. Advances are sought in biotechnology that develop current and radically new capabilities that not only improve warfighter performance and unit combat effectiveness, but also could provide a benefit to the general public. The incumbent is the Henry M Jackson Foundation for Advancement of Military Medicine, Inc.
The Navy anticipates issuance of a single, cost-type contract. The contract is anticipated to have a 60-month period of performance for services.
