The U.S. Air Force has awarded Alion Science and Technology Corp. of McLean, Va. a $15,214,159 delivery order to previously awarded contract FA4600-06-D-0003 for advanced processes for persistent communications.
Alion will develop solutions to help protect military systems from environmental, chemical and biological hazards in theater. Work will be performed at Warner Robins Air Force Base, Georgia, and is expected to be completed by Dec. 29, 2016.
The contract is on behalf of the Advanced Materials, Manufacturing, and Testing Information Analysis Center (AMMTIAC), the DoD Center of Excellence for collecting, analyzing, synthesizing, and disseminating scientific and technical information required to develop and sustain DoD systems and infrastructure in all environments.
