The Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA) has issued a Draft Request for Proposals to support development of universal influenza vaccine candidates towards FDA licensure.
BARDA’s goal is to develop influenza vaccines that are more effective than currently licensed vaccines, with a vision towards a truly universal influenza vaccine that elicits long-lasting broad spectrum protective immunity in humans against the widest range of antigenically divergent influenza strains within and across subtypes.
The Draft RFP allows for potential responders to submit feedback to BARDA on specifications of the RFP prior to its formal release. All feedback must be submitted by January 18, 2014.
