Global Biorisk Management – East Africa 2nd Cohort Foundational Training
April 22 - April 26
On behalf of the US Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), Sandia National Laboratories will host a series of virtual and in-person training workshops in Antananarivo, Madagascar to support ongoing efforts to build participants’ ability to train others and create a global biorisk management trainers’ network across East Africa.
By the end of the four workshops, participants will have access to the Global Biorisk Management Curriculum (GBRMC), core documents (Standard Operating Procedure Templates, Biorisk Manuals, Respiratory Protection Manuals, and more). The GBRMC is a repository of 40+ training courses centered on the principles and best practices of biorisk management (biosafety and biosecurity).
Remote meetings will begin in advance of in-person training scheduled for 22 – 26 April.
Learn more and register for the East African BRM Trainer’s Network by visiting the Sandia’s Global Chemical and Biological Security Events page or contacting contact Jessica Quinn.
