Gauging Preparedness: Are We Ready to Respond?

On Friday, February 6, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) will host a discussion with notable disease surveillance experts on the state of biopreparedness in America.

This RWJF First Friday Google+ Hangout will address the nation’s health security preparedness as detailed in a recent report, Outbreaks: Protecting Americans from Infectious Disease, and highlight the new National Health Security Preparedness Index and important lessons learned from infectious disease outbreaks, such as Ebola and H1N1.

Highlighted panelists include:

  • Susan Dentzer, Senior Policy Adviser to the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation
  • Paul Kuehnert, Director, Bridging Health & Health Care Portfolio, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation
  • Tom Inglesby, CEO and Director, UPMC Center for Health Security
  • Suzet McKinney, Deputy Commissioner, Bureau of Public Health Preparedness and Emergency Response and Division of Women & Children’s Health, Chicago Department of Public Health

The online event is open to the public with prior registration.
