Notable Contracts: 60M for Permethrin-Treated Uniforms

The U.S. federal government has recently awarded several notable contracts related to the field of chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) equipment or life science research of interest for potential applications in biodefense.

Tullahoma Industries LLC has been awarded a maximum $59,389,738 modification (P00127) exercising the second one-year option period of a one-year base contract (SPM1C1-13-D-1050) with four one-year option periods for various permethrin trousers.

The Department of Defense utilizes permethrin-treated uniforms to protect service members from diseases transmitted by biting insects and ticks.

This is a firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract. Locations of performance are Tennessee, Alabama, North Carolina and Puerto Rico, with a May 6, 2016, performance completion date. Using military service is Army. Type of appropriation is fiscal 2015 through fiscal 2016 defense working capital funds. The contracting activity is the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
