The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), Division of Clinical Research (DCR), rapidly deploys administrative and technical research support services and resources to conduct time sensitive, high priority collaborative clinical research.

Fulfillment of this mission requires DCR to have the capacity to quickly facilitate collaborative clinical research both domestically and internationally.

In recent years, the NIAID research portfolio has expanded considerably in response to new challenges such as bioterrorism concerns and emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases. In response to these challenges, the DCR is anticipating additional demands for participation in special projects.

Under a new acquisition solicitation, NIAID is seeking administrative and management services support for this mission, enhancing DCR’s ability to rapidly establish collaborations with government agencies, academia, and health research entities domestically or internationally in response to urgent research demands.

Requests for projects of this nature could emanate from sources such as the U.S. Congress, U.S. State Department, Department of Health and Human Services, or the National Institutes of Health.

This requirement provides NIAID with the capacity to proactively identify and establish administrative, operational and management support services for DCR collaborative research efforts. The potential contractors role will be one of technical support and administrative, operational, and management support and oversight to investigators who develop and implement protocols.

This contract will be a Multiple Award Indefinite Quantity contract, in an amount not to exceed $750,000,000 for a contract period from April 1, 2016 through March 31, 2023.

Further details are available via Solicitation Number: NIHOA2015025. The response deadline is Dec. 7, 2015.
