The Pew Charitable Trusts, together with seven public health and consumer groups, will host an online briefing Nov. 18 in Washington D.C. as part of Get Smart About Antibiotics Week.
The event is meant to raise awareness about the growing threat of antibiotic resistance and the importance of using these drugs appropriately.
The briefing features Tom Frieden, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, as well as four “Supermoms Against Superbugs” advocates, who will share their expertise, personal experiences, and sense of urgency in addressing what is one of today’s most pressing public health issues.
The briefing will take place at the Senate Capitol Visitor’s Center at 12:00 EST.
Advance registration is required.
