The Office of Naval Research has awarded two contracts in support of its Field-Deployable Multianalyte Molecular Diagnostics initiative.
The funding was awarded in response to a Broad Agency Announcement for advanced development and testing of hardened diagnostic devices to support the biosurveillance needs of the U.S. military in field forward locations.
Ibis Biosciences, Inc. (now Iridica) was awarded a $93,372 contract plus 2 options not to exceed $2,164,387.
SRI International was awarded a contract valued at $568,299.
Under the effort NRL will work cooperatively to test and verify performance of the devices and to assist in the integration of the diagnostic devices with communication and device hardening for field application.
