2019 ASM Biothreats

The American Society for Microbiology’s 2019 ASM Biothreats meeting will be held January 29–31, 2019, in Arlington, Virginia.
This leading annual event, formerly known as the ASM Biodefense and Emerging Diseases Research Meeting, is a forum for the discussion of new data from the research of microbiological sciences related to biodefense and bioterrorism, the latest information on preventative modalities, therapeutics, and clinical diagnoses related to high consequence pathogens, and the most recent trends in the management and planning of biothreat programs.
A highlight of this meeting is Biothreats Peer-to-Peer, a half-day pre-meeting symposium providing students and early career professionals the unique opportunity to make an oral presentation to a group of their peers. Speakers from the full Biothreats program have been invited to discuss their careers and job opportunities in the field.
