A webinar on the One Health Priority Research Agenda for AMR will be held 6 December 2023, part of a series hosted by the Quadripartite organizations. This session will focus on transmission.
The Quadripartite organizations, made up of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), World Health Organization (WHO), and the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH), established the Quadripartite Technical Group and developed the One Health Priority Research Agenda for AMR (AMR-OHPRA) a joint initiative to assist in directing and catalyzing scientific interest and financial investments for AMR priority research across sectors for countries and funding bodies.
The research agenda also serves as a guide to prevent and mitigate AMR within the One Health approach that will help policymakers, researchers, and a multidisciplinary scientific community to work together on solutions.
The webinar will include a panel discussion on the challenges and opportunities that this Agenda brings to the One Health community and how this agenda can attract and motivate donors, the scientific community, and governments to support research addressing the specific areas identified on Transmission in the AMR-OHPRA.
