Behind the Mask: The Science on Stopping the Spread

The Pacific Northwest National Laboratory will host a virtual Demystifying COVID Seminar Series event entitled, “Behind the Mask: The Science on Stopping the Spread” on March 16, 2021.
The Pacific Northwest National Laboratory’s Community Science and Technology Seminar Series was launched to help the general public better understand and explore how science transforms our world.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Dr. Katrina Waters is the division director for Biological Sciences at PNNL and leads the DOE project for Viral Fate and Transport of COVID-19. Her research interests focus on understanding exposure to chemicals, the mechanisms that lead to disease, and network modeling of infectious diseases. She received her Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin.
