Committee on Evidence – Based Practices for Public Health Emergency Preparedness and Response

The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine s soliciting information to help inform the deliberations of a consensus study committee sponsored by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The committee has been charged with conducting a comprehensive review and grading of the evidence for select public health emergency preparedness and response (PHEPR) practices. The committee’s report will provide recommendations on PHEPR practices that public health agencies should or should not adopt based on the evidence and will also identify future research needs to address gaps in evidence-based PHEPR practices.

The committee is issuing a call for reports to help enhance its comprehensive review.

Anyone wishing to submit reports should email the committee at preparedness@nas.edu. Materials should be submitted by Friday, March 8, 2019. Please note that any materials or written information shared with the committee will be placed in the committee’s Public Access File (PAF), and may be provided to the public upon request.
