DARPA Proposers Day: Nucleic Acids On-Demand Worldwide (NOW)

The Biological Technologies Office (BTO) of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) will host a Proposers’ Day on October 28, 2019 in Arlington, Virginia.

The event will gather the planned proposer community in support of the Nucleic Acids On-Demand Worldwide (NOW) program, which aims to develop a mobile medical countermeasure (MCM) manufacturing platform for use in stabilization and humanitarian operations to rapidly produce, formulate, and package hundreds of doses of nucleic acid therapeutics (DNA and/or RNA).

The Proposers Day will include brief overview presentations by government personnel, an
information session to respond to questions from participants, “lightning” talks (three minutes,
one PowerPoint slide), posters for potential proposers to highlight technical capabilities or to
promote teaming, and private sidebar meetings between the DARPA government team and
potential proposer teams.

Participant presentations and sidebar meetings must be scheduled via the registration website. Lightning talk presentations will be made accessible to the proposer community on the NOW program website after presentation at the Proposers day. It is expected that NOW will require strong teaming efforts to successfully innovate and integrate critical technologies necessary to meet the metrics of the NOW program.

Attendance at this event is not a requirement for submission of a proposal or selection for
funding. Information relayed during the Proposers Day will be made available on the BTO
section of the DARPA Opportunities page.

Attendance is open to individuals who are U.S. Citizens, U.S. Permanent Residents, and Foreign Nationals. Upon entry to the physical meeting, all attendees will be required to present valid, Government-issued photo identification.
