Mycotoxins & Phycotoxins
November 17, 2014
The Gordon Research Seminar on Mycotoxins & Phycotoxins will be held June 13-14, 2015 in Easton, Massachusetts.
The theme of this conference is “Harmful Biotoxins: Their Chemistry, Ecological Role and Associated Risks.”
The seminar is a unique forum for graduate students, post-docs, and other scientists with comparable levels of experience and education to present and exchange new data and cutting edge ideas.
The focus of this meeting is on emerging and recurring issues associated with the occurrence of harmful biotoxins in areas including:
- Identification and Characterization Of Novel Myco- and Phycotoxins
- New Detection Methods
- Mechanisms of Toxicity
- Ecological/Physiological Significance
- Biotoxin Risk Assessment and Management
A career panel of established biotoxin investigators will discuss common concerns, critical career decisions, and associated challenges with career paths in academia, government, and industry, and the casual setting and evening social event will provide an ideal networking opportunity among peers and mentors.
The meeting will feature approximately 10 talks and 2 poster sessions. All attendees are expected to actively participate in the seminar either by giving an oral presentation or presenting a poster.
