Potential Research Priorities to Inform Readiness and Response to Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza A (H5N1)
October 22 - October 23
The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine will organize a public workshop on the Potential Research Priorities to Inform Readiness and Response to Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza A (H5N1) from 22-23 October 2024 via webcast.
The workshop discussions may help inform future research that could provide local, national, and global communities with information about virus transmission, mitigation of risks, and appropriate measures to prevent the spread of disease.
Key concepts discussed include:
- What is the relevant scientific evidence and state of current scientific knowledge?
- What research is ongoing and what new results can be anticipated?
- What gaps remain and what research should be initiated?
