SEAN and Standing Committee on Emerging Infectious Diseases College COVID-19 Testing Strategies

October 28, 2020 @ 11:30 am - 1:30 pm EDT

Virtual Event Virtual Event

Participate in this virtual listening session on Oct. 28 focused on the landscape of current COVID-19 testing strategies. Participants will hear from representatives of several large and mid-sized colleges and universities.

BACKGROUND

As part of its work advising the nation on responding to COVID-19, the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM) is holding a series of four public sessions to inform a forthcoming rapid expert consultation on testing strategies and capabilities at colleges and universities.

Each session will include a framing of the issues and an overview of one or more of the major considerations that affect decisions about testing strategies and capabilities.

A range of universities and colleges will share their experiences with COVID-19 testing, further illustrating those considerations.

A facilitated conversation will foster dialog among universities and colleges and with other subject matter experts and stakeholders.

The events are hosted by the Societal Experts Action Network (SEAN): Facilitating Rapid and Actionable Responses to Social, Behavioral, and Economic-Related COVID-19 Question.

Visit NASEM’s event website for more information.
