Staphylococcal Diseases 2015

The 14th Gordon Research Conference on Staphylococcal Diseases will be held July 12-17, 2015 in Lucca, Italy. The theme of this year’s conference is “Fundamental Knowledge Drives Translational Advances.”
The conference will present cutting-edge research on the important pathogen S. aureus and related organisms. Highlighted topics include:
- Dynamics of Host-Pathogen Interaction
- Translational Aspects
- Immunology
- Bacterial Cell Biology
- Toxins
- Animal Models of Infection
- Developments in Therapeutics
All attendees will have the opportunity to present posters and exchange ideas with leaders in the staphylococcal field. The conference will also be preceded on July 11-12 by a Gordon Research Seminar on Staphylococcal Diseases, a two-day event specifically intended to support the next generation of staphylococcal researchers.
The collegial atmosphere of this Conference, with organized discussion sessions as well as opportunities for informal gatherings in the afternoons and evenings, provides an ideal setting for scientists from different disciplines to exchange ideas, brainstorm and foster cross-disciplinary collaborations.
The meeting will feature approximately 10 talks and 2 poster sessions. All attendees are expected to actively participate in the seminar either by giving an oral presentation or presenting a poster.
