The Current Global Governance Landscape for Influenza

The Health and Medicine Division of the National Academies will convene a virtual committee meeting on the Current Global Governance Landscape for Influenza on March 9-11, 2021.

This first meeting of the committee will serve for the committee to begin to analyze the major global frameworks, regulations, and partnerships for influenza vaccine preparedness and response.

Open sessions will feature discussions with speakers, including the sponsor and global health leaders, about considerations that led to the launch of this consensus study and gaps in or barriers to implementation of current global mechanisms for influenza vaccine development, manufacturing, and access. The meeting will allow committee members to identify areas of concentration within the study’s statement of task and determine what information gathering will be required for to make recommendations for these areas.
