The US Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) has announced its intent to award two contracts under a sole-source basis to support research activities in Thailand.

The first contract is for collaborative influenza surveillance studies with Phramongkutkloa Hospital in Bangok under Solicitation Number:  W81XWH12T0227.

The Provincial Public Health Office, located in Kamphaeng Phet, is the second recipient. This contract is in support of clinical epidemiological administrative and logistical support studies in Thailand. The action is listed under Solicitation Number: W81XWH12T0228.

Both contract actions cite the awarding of the services to any other vendors would result in substantial delays in on-going research as the basis for the sole-source award mechanism.
