USAMRIID Seeks Antibody Production for Infectious Disease Studies

by Global Biodefense Staff
May 1, 2013

3D Model Monoclonal Antibodies (NIH)The U.S. Army Medical Research Institute for Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID) is soliciting quotes for the production of monoclonal antibodies (mAb) to be used in nonhuman primate (NHP) therapeutic testing against infectious agents.

The effort requires the production and purification of monoclonal antibodies under specified quality conditions utilizing a pre-constructed CHO-DG44 cell line that will be provided by USAMRIID as cryopreserved cell aliquot.

The contractor will conduct a pilot scale production of the mAb from a provided mammalian cell line, purify and characterize the antibody resulting from pilot scale culture, and deliver the pilot scale to USAMRIID.

The government may exercise future options for delivery of scaled-up production. Further details are available under Solicitation Number: W81XWH-13-T-0171.
