The Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC) Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defense (CBRND) materiel development team develops, fields, and sustains materiel solutions to United States Marine Corps forces in order that they maintain adequate capability to forward deploy or respond to a Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear or High Yield Explosive (CBRNE) incident, as well as aviation and structural firefighting, technical rescue and homeland protection events.
Under a newly issued presolicitation notice, Contractor Logistic Support (CLS) is sought to facilitate such expeditionary crisis response and consequence management capabilities. The new Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract will provide personnel, materials, equipment, facilities and expertise needed to maintain mission readiness for the Family of Incident Response Systems (FIRS).
The services will be performed at a minimum of four locations, three within the continental United States and one outside of the continental United States. CLS is expected to maintain equipment readiness for equipment listed in the FIRS Equipment List Summary, to be released with the official request for proposals. CLS will also be utilized to provide training to maintain personnel readiness.
The requirement is being executed by the U.S. Army Contracting Command – Aberdeen Proving Ground, Natick Contracting Division (NCD) on behalf of the Family of Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Systems (FCBRNS) Team within the Program Manager, Marine Infantry Weapon Systems (PMM IWS), Product Manager Infantry Combat Equipment (PdM ICE) at Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC).
