The U.S. Army is conducting a market survey to identify currently available commercial equipment in the areas of: personal protection equipment; decontamination and portable sampling equipment; and Point and Stand-off detection and identification equipment for Chemical and Biological Warfare Agents (CWA/BWA), Toxic Industrial Chemicals/ Toxic Industrial Materials (TICs/TIMs), Explosives, and Radiological Materials.

The Joint Product Manager CBRNE Analytics & Response Systems (JPdM CBRNE A&R Systems) under JPM Guardian is managing the equipment survey as part of the modernization strategy for CBRN defense units. The process supports customers such as National Guard WMD Civil Support Teams, 48th Chemical Brigade, and Special Purpose Units Chemical Biological Equipment (SPUCBE) of the 20th Support Command (CBRNE), CBIRF, CCMRF, and USARC.

Qualified vendors and manufacturers must submit a request to JPdM CBRNE A&R Systems and will then be provided a comprehensive equipment-survey to fill out.  The data collected by this effort is reserved only for access by government organizations.

Manufacturers who have already provided information to the database will be requested to review their information and ensure it is up to date. Product surveys will be available upon request starting January 15, 2014 and final inputs are requested no later than June 1, 2014.

Participation in the JPdM CBRNE A&R equipment survey is voluntary; the government will not pay any costs associated with this sources sought announcement. Manufacturers providing detailed and current information on their products and developmental technologies may increase opportunities for those products to be considered for future requirements associated with this program.
