Army Seeks Farsi-English Translation of Iraqi Chemical Warfare Book

The US Army Medical Research Institute of Chemical Defense (USAMRICD) Wood Technical Library is seeking sources to provide a complete translation of a Farsi book into English: Medical Review of Iraqi Chemical Warfare (ISBN: 978-9-644-56654-7) authored by Sayyid Abbas Furutan.

The book features a description of chemical weapons used by Iraq during the Iran-Iraq War, the method of deployment, and the symptoms of exposure. It also includes an atlas of victims of chemical warfare.

The completed translation is required to be a technically and grammatical accurate translation of the foreign language work to include any non-English references in the bibliography. Translator must possess the skills to provide translation of the scientific and medical terminology that conform to the intent and meaning of the original work.

Reproduction of all graphical material (tabular, graph, and photography) with appropriate translation of terminology contained therein must be inserted in sequence and be located identically to the original (where feasible).
