The Tauri Group, LLC this week announced they have been awarded four task orders under the Medical Domain of the Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical and Biological Defense (JPEO-CBD) Omnibus Program Engineering and Technical Support (OPETS) contract.
OPETS is an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract with a maximum value of $495 million through December 2015.
Through these task orders, valued at $13 million over three years, The Tauri Group will provide the JPEO with bioengineers and medical advisors at Fort Belvoir, Fort Detrick, and Aberdeen Proving Ground. This builds on work currently provided to the Joint Product Manager BioDefense Therapeutics (JPdM-BDTx) program, where The Tauri Group has provided technical, programmatic, and medical scientific support since 2011.
“We are excited to continue providing the high-caliber support that JPEO has come to expect from The Tauri Group,” said Ben Hagar, The Tauri Group’s Program Manager. “With this work, we are contributing to a critical DoD program for protecting personnel from chemical and biological threats. This opportunity to stay on the cutting edge of medical countermeasure development will further enhance our medical expertise, increasing our value to the Government and our partners.”
