The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is hosting a pre-solicitation conference for vendors providing disposable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) on Dec. 18, 2014 in Washington D.C.

DHS must plan and prepare for a pandemic resulting from a new influenza virus. In the event of an emergency, Federal employees will be expected to continue operations to sustain agency functions.

To meet the operational and pandemic needs of its workforce, DHS will issue a solicitation for proposals to provide PPE as part of their pandemic contingency plans and preparedness actions.

The pre-solicitation conference is only for GSA vendors with the following products:

  • Disposable Garments SIN 51V/105 002 & 84/633 6
  • Disposable Splash Goggles SIN 84/633 47 & 51V/105 002
  • Disposable Surgical Masks SIN 65IIA/A-94 & 51V/105 002
  • Disposable Respirators SIN 75/75 200 & 84/465 22

During the event, DHS will answer questions about the PPE solicitation requirements. Participants must be US citizens or legal residents. Space is limited and advance registration is required.
