The U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command (USAMRMC) is conducting market research to assess commercial availability of a Quality Management System for Biological Select Agents and Toxins (BSAT).
To enhance bio-risk mitigation, the Department of Defense (DoD) wishes to establish a Quality Management System focused on biosafety and biosecurity operations in DoD laboratories that use, produce, store, handle, transport, or destroy select agents.
The envisioned system would provide assurances via metrics, documentation, and auditability addressing: composite bio-risk management; critical control point identification and monitoring; and preventative maintenance and communication.
The DoD BSAT Bio-Risk QM system will need to be compatible other government agency collaboration systems.
