25th Meeting of the Malaria Policy Advisory Group (MPAG)

The open sessions of the WHO’s 25th meeting of the Malaria Policy Advisory Group (MPAG) will take place in Yaoundé, Cameroon on 4–5 March 2024. Technical partners, UN agencies, and other members of the global malaria community are welcome to register for online participation only.

• Update on malaria vaccines
• Update on subnational tailoring of malaria interventions and strategies
• Guiding principles for prioritizing malaria interventions in resource-constrained country contexts to achieve maximum impact (draft document) + summary overview
• Biological threats to malaria vector interventions
• Update on Gavi supported malaria learning agenda
• Guiding principles for prioritization overview
• Strategy to respond to antimalarial drug resistance in Africa – updates and identification of needs
• Update on development of guidelines recommendations on tafenoquine, primaquine and near-patient G6PD diagnostic test to support radical cure of P. vivax
• Update on malaria elimination, including zoonotic malaria
