Terrorism, Pandemics, and Emergency Medicine

Dr. Amesh Adalja, MD, a Senior Scholar at the Johns Hopkins University Center for Health Security, will speak about the intersection of terrorism, pandemics, and emergency medicine on November 28th in Arlington, Virginia.

Dr. Adalja specializes in infectious diseases, critical care, and emergency medicine.  He was deployed to Haiti with the US Department of Health and Human Services National Disaster Medical system after the 2010 earthquake.  He has helped develop emergency treatment guidelines for botulism and anthrax in mass casualty settings.  He has also served on a FEMA working group on nuclear disaster recovery.
