The Joint Project Manager for Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Contamination Avoidance (JPM-NBC-CA) will be hosting an Industry Day this month for the Next Generation Chemical Detector (NGCD) program.
The NGCD program is designed to develop and procure detectors for Chemical Warfare Agents (CWAs), Toxic Industrial Chemicals (TICs), and Non-Traditional Agents (NTAs). The detectors are intended for use by the military for a wide range of missions.
During the Industry Day, JPM-NBC-CA will provide an overview of the NGCD program, performance expectations, test and evaluation scope, security challenges, and concept of operations.
The event will be held on Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland the morning of February 19, 2013. One-on-one meetings with the government will be available to vendors in the afternoon and over the course of the following two days.
The Army has released a draft Request for Proposal for the NGCD program on FedBizOpps in advance of the Industry Day. Further details are available under Solicitation Number: W911SR13RXXX6.
