New Date: Radiological Detection System Industry Day

by Global Biodefense Staff
November 10, 2014
Biological Effects of Radiation Exposure (DARPA)

A pre-solicitation conference for industry will be held Dec. 4, 2014 at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md., for the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Radiological Detection System (RDS) contracting effort.

The event was originally scheduled for Nov. 6, 2014.

RDS will replace the joint services current radiation detection, indication and computation (RADIAC) systems. The RDS will provide increased capability and enable each military service to effectively conduct joint operations with interoperable equipment, by providing a network centric, rugged radiation detection capability for detection of the entire spectrum of radiological and nuclear hazards and threats.

During the conference, representatives will be provided an opportunity engage program officials and submit questions regarding the RDS solicitation.

Only U.S. companies and their affiliate subsidiaries may attend and must pre-register no later Nov. 28, 2014. U.S companies must have Foreign Nationals approved by the Joint Program Executive Office (JPEO) security office before attending the conference.

Further details are available under Solicitation Number: W911SR14R0009.
