Spectral Labs Inc. of San Diego, Ca. was recently awarded a follow-on contract in support of the Realistic Adaptive Interactive Learning System – Chemical Agent Response (RAILS-CHEM) program.
The overall goal of RAILS-CHEM is to design and develop a browser-based simulation for military and emergency response personnel on the topic of chemical agent response. The simulation will integrate algorithms to depict chemical agent behaviors and handheld detection systems’ responses.
The program will better enable first responders to make decisions on a range of activities from when to don PPE to actions based on instrument readings and observed exposure symptoms.
The contract was awarded by the U.S. Army Contracting Command and is valued at $200,000. Additional performers on the RAILS-CHEM effort include Kalloc Studios and SAIC.
